Anthony Santoro

Animator

Anthony Santoro joined the 2009 Andes Expedition, Cape Farewell's first expedition outside the Arctic, an 18 day trek through shrinking glaciers, cloud forests, lower forests, areas of deforestation and the Amazon.

Anthony Santoro is the lead artist and visual effects supervisor at Curious Pictures, the largest animation studio in New York City. Outside this primary role Anthony wears the hats of a designer, animator, compositor, photographer, 3D artist, and programming wizard.

He has lead and VFX supervision credits on a range of film, TV, and video game projects, including Brett Morgen's documentary Chicago 10 which opened the Sundance Film Festival in 2007, Morgan Spurlock's Where in the World is Osama bin Laden?, The Love Guru starring Mike Myers, Wyclef Jean's Fast Car music video, and the new Showtime series Nurse Jackie.

Most recently, he colored and composited the hand-drawn animation style short for Michel Gondry's feature film Megalomania, currently in pre-production at Curious Pictures.

Russian novelist Marina Moskvina has just published her book on the 2010 Arctic Expedition with Cape Farewell. Illustrated by Leonid Tishkov, the book captures the voyage and questions the future of the Arctic.

Reality of Change

On 15 March, together with TckTckTck and the UK Youth Climate Coalition, Cape Farewell invites you to a ‘Reality of Change’ evening at the Dana Centre, with architect Sunand Prasad, campaigner Martin Kirk and others who will present and discuss ideas around (climate) change.
