Youth Engagement Programme
Cape Farewell believe strongly in the effectiveness of combining science and art creatively to educate young people on climate change. Our ambition is that the youth programme continues to inspire those who are interested in working in the field of climate change to understand, appreciate and embrace the role of creativity in dealing with the climate challenge.
Our work in schools includes the youth expedition programme, the development of resources for teachers and pupils and other innovative projects such as Dancing on Thin Ice and the Student Summit. However, our engagement programme doesn't start and finish in schools, our desire is to inspire a generation of new thinkers through our film, book, website, art programme and in everything we do.
We work with universities across the UK and internationally to engage young people and newly graduated students, especially those thinking about careers in the arts and sciences. We use new media technologies to engage the broadest range of audiences and work with international partners to ensure this work is made as public as possible. By communicating the work of Cape Farewell in a variety of settings nationally and internationally we inspire the wider public to pursue individual behavioural change.
