Cape Farewell Board Member and Deputy Head Academic.

Dr Rebecca Stone became involved with Cape Farewell through a highly successful collaboration with the school where she is Deputy Head Academic. The project saw pupils thinking about how research and creativity can combine and led to impactful cross-discipline outcomes across the school. Having seen the power of this combination of science and art firsthand, Rebecca was delighted to join the Cape Farewell Board. 

Rebecca brings over 20 years’ experience in education, currently as Deputy Head, and recently as Assistant Head (Teaching & Learning) and Head of Science and Biology. In the past she has led school expeditions, taking pupils to remote locations in Indonesia, Honduras, Galapagos and Madagascar to carry out fieldwork collecting data for carbon offsetting and to support local conservation projects. Rebecca also sits on a board of governors for a Somerset SEND school.
