Wild Ways to Writing performance with Helen Moore and local writers

Healthy freshwater environments are critical for both people and wildlife and England’s rivers are facing a crisis. Sadly, freshwater wildlife is declining at a faster rate than in other habitats due to climate change, agricultural pollution and lack of effective planning controls.

The Wild Writing Workshops in October and early November, led by the brilliant ecopoet Helen Moore, explore the effects of stressed Dorset rivers, including the River Frome where the famous salmon run is now under extreme threat, on Poole Harbour.

Come and hear what local writers have to say about the pressure on vital freshwater resources in our own backyard; it promises to be a fascinating evening.
