Jarvis Cocker

English musician and Pulp frontman

Jarvis Cocker joined Cape Farewell’s 2008 Disko Bay Expedition, visiting the spectacular Disko Bay area of West Greenland with a crew of 40 international artists, journalists and scientists. He features in our Burning Ice film directed by Peter Gilbert, and has collaborated with us on events including Latitude Festival and the 2009 Rome Film Festival. In 2017 he DJ’d the Solar Sound System at Space to Breathe, a weekend of creative action in response to inner-city air pollution.

Jarvis Cocker is an English musician, who fronts the band Pulp. He founded Arabacus Pulp at the age of fifteen while he was still at school. After numerous line-up changes, and a shortening of the name to just Pulp, they found fame in the 1990s with the success of the albums His ‘n’ Hers (1994) and Different Class (1995).
