KT Tunstall
Brit Award winning, Grammy nominated singer/songwriter and firm festival favourite
KT Tunstall joined Cape Farewell’s 2008 Disko Bay Expedition, visiting the spectacular Disko Bay area of West Greenland with over 40 international artists, journalists and scientists. During the expedition KT kept an Arctic diary and performed at gigs in Ilulissat and Uummannaq.
Following the expedition she joined Cape Farewell at a series of events including including Late at Tate and Shift Festival. She features in our Burning Ice film directed by Peter Gilbert, and her work toured internationally with our Unfold exhibition.
Since wowing the nation on Later… With Jools Holland, KT Tunstall has become a festival favourite from Glastonbury to T In The Park. KT secured a Mercury Music Prize nomination for Eye to the Telescope, outsold every other female artist in the UK in 2005, won a Brit Award for Best British Female Solo Artist, the Ivor Novello Best Song award for writing Suddenly I See and landed a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. www.kttunstall.com
