Robyn Hitchcock joined Cape Farewell’s 2008 Disko Bay Expedition, visiting the spectacular Disko Bay area of West Greenland with over 40 international artists, journalists and scientists. He features in our Burning Ice film directed by Peter Gilbert, and has collaborated with us on events including Shift Festival and Late at Tate.

During the voyage he wrote There Goes the Ice, which he recorded with fellow voyager KT Tunstall. The work featured in Cape Farewell’s international touring exhibition Unfold.

Robyn is an English singer-songwriter and psych folk guitarist who also dabbles in most forms of art, in particular painting and poetry, and has occasionally shown an interest in acting. While primarily a vocalist and guitarist, he also plays harmonica, piano and bass guitar.
